A local youth group consisting of 6 teenagers are hosting a Christmas movie night in Dalmuir in order to raise money for Syrian refugees who have just moved to Clydebank.
The night will consist of 12 hours worth of Chrismas films such as Home Alone, Elf and The Grinch and all money raised will be used to put together backpacks filled with necessities and gifts for Syrian refugees living in Clydebank.
15-year-old Laura Graham is one of the youngsters hosting the event. She said:
“The youth group that are organising the fundraiser came around at the start of summer this year.
“Together we all decided that we wanted to do something that would both be fun and that would contribute to helping Syrian refugees.
“We agreed that most people love Christmas films and we could raise a lot of money to help people we feel need it most. Anyone of any age is welcome to come along!”
The fundraiser will be held on Saturday the 10th of December from 9am to 9pm at 1st Dalmuir Barclay Church.
